Social Promoter of the Month: Miranda Roybal

Meet this month’s Social Promoter of the Month: Miranda Roybal! Miranda has been at Summit Salon Academy for about 8 months, and we have loved having her as a student! Before enrolling in beauty school, Miranda was pursuing nursing. Now, we are excited to have her with us for her journey into the world of beauty.

Get to Know Miranda

Miranda chose cosmetology because she has always liked to make people feel good, and there is absolutely no better feeling than leaving the salon after a good service. She strives to create this experience for her guests in school, while also preparing for when she’s out in the real world. She enjoys learning new techniques from her peers and other stylists. She says, “It always amazes me how you can level up your service with simple tips and tricks.” We couldn’t agree more, Miranda!  

When Miranda isn’t practicing her beauty skills at Summit Salon, she loves cooking and taking care of her beautiful plants. We think those are both incredible skills to have!

Miranda on Social Media

Social media is a great way for beauty students and professionals to build their brand. Miranda knows she can use it to showcase her work and skills in front of a larger audience. Social media has allowed Miranda to display the work she is proud of and present a portfolio to her clients and future employees!

Miranda frequently used social media before starting at Summit Salon Academy, But she had to learn how to approach people and be more open so future clients can create a personable image of her. This is a great opportunity to find more people to work with and build her beauty brand!

Now that she’s here, Miranda’s favorite thing about Summit Salon Academy is our instructor, Mrs.Cromartie. She always has the biggest smile in the room and makes each student feel heard and important. Mrs. Cromartie is the best!

The one thing she wants to let future students know is that good shoes aren’t always cute shoes! You will be on your feet most of the time, so invest in comfortable shoes. Great advice, Miranda!
