1. Partner to Help Raise Funds: HairToStay is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients prevent hair loss during chemotherapy. Summit Salon Academy is proud to partner with HairToStay to provide cooling caps to those undergoing cancer treatment.
2. Fundraising Initiatives: Summit Salon Academy actively participates in fundraising initiatives to support breast cancer research, treatment, and patient support organizations. Every dollar counts in the fight against breast cancer, and we’re doing our part to make a positive impact.

One of the most visible and emotionally challenging side effects of cancer treatment is hair loss. For many individuals, losing their hair can be a devastating experience. This is where HairToStay comes in.

Cooling Caps

HairToStay focuses on providing cooling caps to cancer patients. These caps are designed to reduce blood flow to the scalp during chemotherapy, thereby minimizing hair loss. By preserving their hair, patients can maintain a sense of normalcy and self-confidence during a difficult time in their lives.

How Summit Salon Academy Supports HairToStay

At Summit Salon Academy Tacoma, our students and staff actively participate in supporting HairToStay’s mission. Here’s how we contribute:

• Fundraising Event Hair BRA-Zaar: This is an event where our gifted students and alumni showcase hair and makeup looks based around a theme. In 2023 our theme was Vintage Vibes. We raised 11K for HairToStay.
