Help us help PCAP this holiday season!
Every Holiday Season, we choose to support a local charity that helps people in our area. This year, we is supporting The University of Washington Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP)! PCAP is a non-profit agency that serves low income mothers with substance abuse problems. The program strives to assist in the participants’ recovery so that they are able to stay in treatment, learn to create a healthy atmosphere for their children, and otherwise change their lives for themselves and their children!
One of the things PCAP does to make the holidays special for participants is a toy drive. Toys (or warm clothing) for infants, toddlers, or school age children are collected and then then participants are given the opportunity to “shop” through the donated items. The mothers in the program wrap the items. This gives them a way to give their children a gift for the holidays. The ability to do something so simple means the world to someone that may not have another way to do it.
Please help us in supporting PCAP! Please bring a small unwrapped gift to the Academy by Monday December 9th. We are also accepting cash donations (which we will use to buy toys to donate).
